hmm... The clock in the new Debian installation acted strangely. It showed strange times!
Finally i figured out the problem. There are two different ,mutually exclusive causes.
1. One is to do with the error message
"select() to /dev/rtc to wait for clock tick timed out"
Basically this means the "rtc" driver cannot read the BIOS properly.
The solution to this for me was to edit
"/etc/init.d/hwclock.sh"
and put
HWCLOCKPARS="--directisa"

i started to upload some pictures of events that left wonderful memories. FOSSSL 2005 is one such event where i met several leaders of open source. I managed to get some pictures with them , though they definitely will not remember me :)

i very much liked the speech Rasmus gave, his ideas on simplicity, efficiency makes a lot of sense.

and i managed to get a photo with MySQL ,PHP combination :)

“Sahana: An overview of a Disaster Management System” , the Sahana Research Team’s first paper was accepted for 2nd International Conference on Information and Automation. and it will be avaliable in IEE Xplore soon.

Chamindra , Mifan and i represented the authors at the event. Many thanks to Prof. louiqa for guiding us to output a paper at the level of IEEE.

The presentation was done on ,Saturday, 16th December by my colleague Mifan , which went really well.
